SYNOPSIS:
Footloose is a high-energy musical featuring beloved 80’s pop and rock songs such as “Holding Out for a Hero,” “Let’s Hear it for the Boy” and “Almost Paradise” as a group of rebellious teens fight for the right to be heard and to dance.
Ren McCormack, a Chicago teen who moves to a small farming town, where dancing and rock music are banned by a strict preacher. Ren brings spirit back to the town, falls for the preacher's daughter, Ariel, and fights to overturn the ban, ultimately helping the community heal from tragedy.
This production is part of CCPAC’s Musical Theatre Intensive Program.
